MERIDIAN THERAPIES

There are a number of different Meridian Therapies all of which are based on the ancient Chinese system of body meridians. When a person or animal is calm and relaxed, the flow of energy through the meridian system is calm and steady.  However emotional upsets of any kind – for instance unhappiness, stress, anger, fear, panic – affect the energy flow immediately; it becomes disturbed and distressed as our thoughts and emotions spiral off the calm centre state. In the early 1980’s, Dr Roger Callahan found that instead of trying to control our thoughts or emotions mentally, the calm state of  Even Flow more easily be restored by touching the meridian system, by gently tapping on the main meridian connector points.  Once the meridian system has calmed, mind and body naturally follow suit and tranquillity and balance are restored.  His clients got better so much quicker that he actually went bankrupt!!  That is just an example of how effective Meridian Therapies are!Meridian therapies are brilliant used for the following animal behaviour problems:

  • Excessive barking

  • Fears, especially fireworks and fear biting or mouthing

  • Aggressiveness

  • House training and accidents

  • And so many more

The reason that these therapies are so good is that they remove the feelings from the energy field.  For example you could tell me that there was nothing to be afraid of when fireworks go off, and you can train a dog to understand the same – but that doesn’t mean that the fear has gone.  It goes completely with Meridian Therapies!!!The following are two of the therapies I use for animals (and I use it on the owners too!):Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)Based on impressive new discoveries involving the body's subtle energies, EFT has been clinically effective in thousands of cases of trauma and abuse, panic and anxiety, fears and phobias, cravings and addictions, as well as  depression and weight problems.  EFT is a very simple technique where you tap lightly on certain meridian points whilst repeating a phrase and can be done anywhere at any time.  If it is inconvenient to tap the points, you can visualise tapping them and that will have the same affect.Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT)

TAT is another excellent Meridian Therapy and is so simple to do.  TAT is a process for ending traumatic stress, reducing allergic reactions and freeing yourself and your animals of negative beliefs. In minutes TAT can deliver inner peace, relaxation, more vibrant health and empowerment. TAT combines lightly holding specific acupressure points on your head (the TAT Pose) as you focus your attention on a problem you want to resolve (the Steps of TAT).   You then go through a series of statements which clear the problem totally in about 20 minutes:

  • You focus on the problem you want resolved for your animal

  • You then focus on how your animal would feel when the problem was resolved

  • Ask to Heal all the areas where this has been held

The key to this process is asking the subconscious mind to come up with a solution as well as healing in all areas of your animal’s life where the problem manifests.

Dowsing

Dowsing with a pendulum is also a good diagnostic tool and I use this method every day in my life, even to identify what face cream or lipstick I should buy.  Mind you I do get some very funny looks in Boots!

Dowsing works on the energy that is surrounding you and will answer Yes or No questions.  So using my pendulum I will ask questions like “does Fido have arthritis?” or “does Fido need to change his diet?”.  I can them check remotely to ensure that all treatments are working and what improvements there are.  For example, if i have ascertained that Fido’s thyroid only works at 80%, i could check after one month with dowsing to see if that percentage has increased and then make the decision to continue with the treatment or to change it.

Healing Crystals for Pets and Animals

Animals, as I have mentioned before, are very sensitive and very receptive to all sorts of healing – especially crystal healing.

There are some very simple crystal healing techniques that can be used to help your pet or animal friend to be more comfortable during times of stress or illness. But remember that the animal kingdom is very sensitive so you need to pay attention for tell-tail signs that they have had enough.  These could be bearing of teeth, swishing of tails, hair raising or simply walking away.

Because crystals are so powerful, the crystal healing can be too intense for the animal and might cause pain or some other discomfort.  So start very slowly and watch for reactions and be prepared to stop the healing altogether.

When the healing is good, the animal will show more positive signs such as sighing, relaxing, and drooling and in my 4 dogs case – licking and kissing!.

Crystal Healing Techniques for Pets and Animals

Place Amethyst, or Rose Quartz or other crystals, underneath your pet-friend’s bed or pillow for up to two weeks. Be cautious of sharp edges and position the stones to be comfortable and safe for your pet. If the crystal energy is too intense, your pet will be agitated and may not want to rest in their bed. If your pet likes the crystals, you will see an improvement in their health within a few days.

Hold the crystal in your hand, and starting a few inches away from the affected part or injured area, rotate the crystal clock-wise. Take your time, go slow, breath gently and evenly. Animals express their emotions with movement, so watch if your pet wants more or tries to move away.

Get a small pouch that can attach to a collar and place up to three crystals inside.  Apply the warm crystals to injured areas. If you are using an ice bag to reduce swellings, try a few tumbled Smokey Quartz with the ice to help unblock over-active or inflamed areas.

Add a Rose Quartz or Amethyst to your pet-friend’s water bowl or bucket. The crystal will leave its energy signature in the water and, when ingested, the energy will go where it is most needed.

The following is a selection of generally available crystals and gemstones and their associated physical healing focus. I woud suggest that you buy a good reference book.
